To ensure an enjoyable and safe program for everyone JFK requires that everyone follow the code of conduct and league rules.

JFK reserves the right to dismiss any player, coach, and/or spectator who violates the code and/or rules.

Coaches are responsible for making these rules available to all the parents.

GENERAL RULES
 

  • JFK will not be responsible for any stolen or damaged property.
  • JFK will not be responsible for any injuries incurred to a spectator while watching a game.
  • Soccer Balls are not to be brought into the facility.  Game balls will
    be provided by JFK.
  • There is no climbing on the netting.
  • Smoking is prohibited in the facility.
  • Please keep the facility clean and use the garbage cans provided.
  • Report any vandalism to management immediately.
  • Spectators are requested to sit on the bleachers.
  • Please supervise your children while in the facility.
  • No one is allowed to play soccer outside the playing area.
  • Spectators entering the field during a game will be asked to leave the facility and may result in the forfeiture of the game for that team and possible expulsion from the league.
  • Anyone found guilty of willfully damaging property will be reported to the police authorities, and legal action will follow.
  • No food, beverages, or gum is allowed outside the vending area.
  • Ice is available in the office for injuries.

TEAM REGISTRATION

  • All players must be registered on a team in order to participate in the league.
  • All players are required to show proof of age. One of the following must be present at each game: USYSA/AYSO team roster, player's pass, birth certificate, drivers license, and/or passport for each player on the team.
  • Players are permitted to register for one team only per age group.
    Exceptions: If a team has two teams in the league and play in different divisions of the same age group you may use players to play in both divisions .  If a team splits their team into two teams and play in the same division, you may use only up to 2 players to cross over and play on both teams.
  • Team roster/waiver form must be completed with player's jersey number, name, address, phone, date of birth, player's parent's or guardian's signature, and coach's signature.
  • Team registration must be done in ink or typed and must be completed before they are allowed to play.
  • No team will be allowed more than 18 registered players for U8-U18 youth teams and 14 players for adult teams at any given time.
  • All teams must pay the registration fee in full on or before the due date. If payment is not received the due date the team will be replaced by a team on the waiting list.
  • A player is not allowed to transfer to another team during the session.
  • All team rosters will be frozen at the end of the 2nd game. Players may not be added or dropped from the roster after the 2nd game.
  • All registrations expire at the end of each session.
  • The current playing year is August 1 - July 31.
  • A youth player is anyone 18 years old and younger. An 18 year old player can be considered a U18 depending on their birth date.
  • Players in the adult division are 18 years of age or older.
  • Players in the over 30 division must be 30 years of age or older by the end of the current playing year.  Only one underage player allowed but must be over 26 years old.

TEAM/PLAYER/COACH - RULES and VIOLATIONS

  • Coaches should be 21 years of age or older.
  • Only registered players and 2 rostered coaches are allowed on the field and bench.
  • Suspended players and or coaches are not allowed on the bench.
  • Only water bottles are allowed by the bench and on the playing area. Players' bags may be placed on the floor under the benches or along the west and east walls.
  • For health reasons, it is prohibited to spit anywhere in the facility including the field area.  Gum chewing is also prohibited for health reasons in the playing area.
  • NO field warm-up is allowed.
  • At the end of the game, coaches must verify scores and sign the game card.
  • The end of the game hand shake should be held at the midfield line immediately following the game and the team should then leave the bench area as soon as possible to allow the next team fast access to the bench area.
  • Teams guilty of playing ineligible players shall forfeit all games up to that point and fined $100.00.
  • Players or coaches using profanity towards JFK officials, employees, management, spectators, or opposing players will be suspended from the facility.
  • Players and/or coaches receiving a red card will have at least a one game suspension and possibly longer depending on the referee's report. An investigation will take place following the incident. No explanation will be given before 72 hours after the incident.
  • Any player and/or coach receiving a red card must leave the playing area immediately. The game will not be restarted until then.
  • Any player and/or coach receiving a red card will be fined $25 for youth players, $50 for adults and $100.00 for coaches. Fine must be paid before their next scheduled game or the team will not be allowed to play.
  • If teams play suspended players and/or a suspended coach is coaching a game the game will be forfeited and the team will not be allowed to play until all fines are paid and the player and/or coach will not play/coach the rest of the session. This suspension may be prolonged to the following session.
  • Any player or coach who receives two (2) red cards will not be allowed to finish the session.
  • Any team who receives four (4) red cards will be ejected from the league.
  • Fighting or instigating a fight will not be tolerated. Games with fights will be immediately terminated with neither team receiving any points. An investigation will follow.
  • Sportsmanlike behavior is required on and off the field.
  • JFK reserves the right to dismiss any disruptive individual from the facility.
  • Any team, player, or coach with outstanding fines will not be allowed to join the league in the future.

STANDING and POINT SYSTEM

  • 3 points for a win
  • 1 point for a tie
  • 0 points for a loss.

TIE BREAKERS

  1. Head to head competition
  2. Most wins.
  3. Most goals scored.
  4. Least goals allowed.
  5. If still tied the teams will be declared co-champs

FORFEIT

  • Three points deducted.
  • Fine of $150 for full field games, $75.00 for 4v4 games.
  • The team will not be allowed to play again until the fine is paid.

AWARDS - U10 and younger teams will receive participation awards. U11 and older will receive a first and second place award.

PROTEST - Must be filed within 24 hours of the incident and be accompanied by $100 in cash. The protest fee is refundable only if the protest is upheld. Protest filed after the 24 hours will be dismissed.

HOME TEAM - Is the 1st team listed on the schedule and should wear their light colored uniform. In case of uniform color conflict the home team must change uniforms.  Home team gets the 1st half kick off.

LATE TEAM - The time will start at the designated starting time. After a 10-minute grace period the game is forfeited. A friendly game may be played during the remaining time.

TIME CLOCK - Only the referees or referee's designated timekeeper may operate the clock.

Matters not provided or covered in the above rules and regulations shall be determined by the JFK's league committee.
